Codsen = Code + Send

This reflects its origins in Web full-stack development (code) and CRM (send).

Codsen is an Open Source brand. For more than a decade (2014-2025), it was also the name of Roy's limited company, Codsen Ltd, 09204532 which he used to freelance. Codsen Ltd is now dissolved, but the Open Source brand continues to operate.

Codsen Ltd was proud to serve: easyJet (2014-2015), eBay Enterprise (an ESP, ex-eDialog, later Zeta Global, 2015-2016) clients: British Airways, IKEA UK, Very.co.uk, Tesco Bank, then Wickes (2016), then Argos (2016-2020). In 2020, Roy finally took the perm role at Sainsbury's and that's how the story of Codsen Ltd came to end.

Open Source work continues, Codsen is alive.

Codsen Open Source programs are being used in production all over the world, averaging around ~3 million npm downloads per week (2026 July data).
